When MINI went electric

The MINI E of 2009 was one of the first modern electric-car trials: 450 cars, leased to private drivers in Los Angeles and New York for a year. BMW then built its electric know-how into the i3, and returned to the marque with the Cooper SE in 2020; the Countryman SE ALL4 is the current electric MINI.
