Corrections

Report a correction

Every record here is curated by EVDIR, so a correction comes straight to us. Send the detail and it is checked against the operator's own listing before the next build.

Where a correction goes

Station facts — the address, the connectors, the power, the number of stalls, the price and the hours — are curated here from crowdsourced reports and our own research. A correction goes to corrections@evdir.com. It is checked against the operator's listing or a photograph of the equipment, then folded into the next curation pass.

Nothing is edited live: the site is a static build, so a fix appears when that build is next written rather than the moment it arrives.

What makes a useful report

  • The station's name and location, or the URL of its page here.
  • The field that is wrong, and the value it currently shows.
  • The correct value.
  • A source for the correct value: the operator's own listing, a site photo of the equipment, or the network's tariff page.

A price correction needs the unit as well as the figure, because a per-minute or per-session tariff is not comparable with a per-kWh one. A connector correction should name the plug, not the car it charges.

What EVDIR can fix itself

Some values are computed here rather than recorded: whether a station is Level 2, DC fast or ultra-fast, which hub pages exist, and which medians are published. Those follow the rules on the methodology page. If a computed figure contradicts the records it was built from, that is a fault in the build.

A closed station, a duplicate location or a station at the wrong coordinates is a record correction. Reporting it is what removes it from this directory.

What happens next

The site is rebuilt from a new copy of the data rather than updated record by record, so a correction appears when that copy is built. The footer on every page states the month of the copy currently being served.
